About us

We are David and Per – two friends from northern Norrland, born between Luleå and Kiruna. Like many others up here, outdoor life is part of our everyday life - if not voluntarily, then involuntarily. How we could become passionate about gloves is a wonder, but that's how it happened.

It started with ourselves

Returning from the mountains, the same problem appeared: coming home with torn and wet gloves. With stiff frozen fingers as a result. So one February evening in 2018, after a day in the mountains, we sat by the cabin fire and said: This-has-to-be-done-better.

So said, so done, it was the starting shot.

When we started, it was all about one thing: understanding what really makes a glove truly good? How do you make a glove warm while keeping it flexible and durable? Where does it wear the most? Exactly where does it fail? We dismantled old and new models, delved into materials and details, and built prototype after prototype. Eventually, it became clear what was missing.

Four years later, after countless prototypes and late nights, we stand here with Myr and gloves that we use ourselves - and proudly share with you.

Philosophy without clichés

For us, it’s about building long-term and doing it honestly. A good glove should not be replaced – it should be shaped by the years and become part of your stories. We are inspired by those who challenge their equipment (read about our ambassadors) Our design language is rooted in classic craftsmanship and Sami roots – sturdy stitches, crosses, and the pure simplicity that always works.

Did you know what Myr means?

A myr is a barren wetland area in Norrland, a kind of marsh. Only the toughest survive there. For us, it symbolizes exactly what our gloves stand for - and that’s why the name became Myr. Short and hopefully easy to remember.

David Andersson

With roots in the nature of Norrland and a passion for function, we create gloves built to last. Every detail is shaped with care – to combine style and durability.

Perhaps our paths will cross out there.

Best regards David
