Grill sausages with twist

It is modern with high meat content on sausage - but we want to hit a blow for sausage with higher Fat content instead. Fat is both flavor carrier and extra good outdoors. 



Ingredients (6 people)

  • 6 pcs barbecue sausages/ veggo sausages, preferably rich in fat
  • 6 sausage bread
  • Bruce fresh parsley
  • Pickled vegetables (going well to buy finished can)
  • 1 lemon

Pickled vegetables (take it you have at home)

  • 400 GR vegetables (eg carrots, cabbage, red cabbage etc)
  • 1 dl of vinegar (12%)
  • 2 dl sugar
  • 3 dl water
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard seeds (if you have, goes well without)
  • 1 pcs bay leaf (if you have, goes well without)
  • Sambal oelek (bonus)

Cooking

1. Grill the sausage on a proper glow bed and preferably heat the breads on the grill or on a stone with a flat surface. Cut the lemon in half and grill until it gets easily soothed.

2. Boil water, vinegar, raw sugar and salt until the sugar has dissolved. Place shredded red cabbage and planed carrots in a bowl, pour over the law and leave for at least 10 minutes. Strain the law. Put in a jar and take on the excursion.

3. Place the sausages in the sausage breads, top with pickled vegetables, sprinkle with parsley and squeeze on lemon and possible sambal oelek. 
 

Some extra tips on the road

  • Higher fat instead of high meat content. Fat is flavor carrier!
  • Cut the sausage lengthwise, it becomes easier to eat and holds more filling.
  • Lemon is very suitable for pork.
  • Coop has a new type of fresh-wicker sausage/ chorizo. Recommended!
